2 Single Story 2011

"Danger of a Single Story"
Chimamanda Adichie
Chimamanda Adichie is a author who talks about how she was always reading books that had blue eyed white people and how she would make her own books just like that. She said "It saved me".She had a servant  named Fedes and she wrote a story about how he was so poor but he had a really nice basket even though they were poor."People turned to me when they started talking about Africa."She was judged at the university she went to.She began to understand how her roommate judged her.She noticed that Africa was peaceful and different from what people thought of.Her roommate heard many things about Africans thought Chimamanda. She remembered that she went to Mexico and she saw that everything said by people about Mexicans getting arrested by the b
order and more was a lie/stereotype.She was acting like those people criticizing her and she felt ashamed. One of her classmates told her that it was such a shamed that Africans were abused by people. She replied back that it was such  a shame that young Americans came to be serial killers."All of these stories make me who I am." quoted by herself.
1.A judgement of something  about that one place or community.
2.People say that I'm rich just because we have things others don't have. The story is missing a person's perspective.People could learn more by going to see for themselves.
3.I heard somebody say that East Austin was ghetto because there was a lot of violence even though there's violence everywhere.
4.The players could be in a game were they are in the Enviroment and see what it's really like in that community.
